I spent the Thanksgiving week with my family. My kids were off of school and there was a big Thanksgiving dinner to be made. I did not spend time at the computer blogging about the festivities because, well, I was in the middle of them.
Now that the turkey has been carved and the kids are back into their routine, I am counting my many reasons to be thankful.
Some of my deepest gratitude goes to the families with whom I work. The privilege of standing next to the kids I see, watching them heal hurts and burst into a new way of living gives me sincere pleasure. Families who invite me into their lives, if only for a short time, give me a great sense of honor. I am grateful for the work that I am given to do and I am grateful for the families who choose Me to do the work.
I am gearing up for another big holiday season. I know that many of you are doing the same. It is my hope that this upcoming season unfolds from the abundance we all share and the gratitude stays front-and-center until the new year. Thanks to you all.
