Kismet

Today I met a new old friend. We have never spoken before, but she has circled my life for the past year. I hear her name from friends. I hear her name from my Families. I see her creations in the community. She has been a pattern in my life and today I met her. I believe it was kismet (gratefully, she feels it was too).

I don't believe in coincidences. I believe that The Universe brings us what we seek. I believe that the people, the places, the emails, the songs, the magic that comes to us is what we need at that very moment in our lives. We can choose to listen, or not. If it is truly supposed to be a part of Our World, we will see it again. Like my new old friend.

Some of the Moms I work for are often worried about missing something. Missing a Critical Teaching Moment. Missing a Sign. Missing a Truth. Missing the Mark. They believe that, unless they are watching every moment of every day with every one of their children, they might miss Something. This is A LOT of pressure that a Mom puts on herself... almost too much pressure. Kismet gives them relief.

If a child needs something, they will tell you. If you don't listen, they will tell you again. If you still don't hear them, the message will come from another place. And another. And another. The Universe will keep broadcasting your child's message until you get it. I have seen it so many times that I now have ultimate faith in that.

The question becomes... what does a Mom do when she finally gets the message? When she truly hears what her child needs? When the lightbulb goes off and there is an Aha! moment? That is the moment for action.

Today, I acted on the message I was hearing... and made a new old friend.
